RenderReady Al Heck is back – ‘sup Al! Al looks at one possible solution for creating and rendering water droplets on the surface of a Soda Can using Cinema 4D sub-polygon displacement. Great stuff!

Tutorial 7 | Can Condensation from Al Heck on Vimeo.

“In this tutorial, we tackle how to create water condensation on a delicious can of soda. To do this, we will use sub-polygonal displacement. We drop the water droplet displacement channel “between” the can geometry so only the water droplets pop out the edge of the can. To do this tutorial, go to renderready.com to download the start file and watch as I help build the rest with you. Enjoy!”
