At some point and time you may have had the need to export Blender’s Ocean Modifier Simulation to images so that you could use them elsewhere, be it a game engine, or another application, and here, SlyDrako shows how to just that.

In this tutorial I will explain how to export the animation from an Ocean modifier in Blender to Images, so that they can be used in a game engine or other programs

By using a plane to bake the Ocean Modifier on to, you are able to control the size of the UVs that will ultimately provide the final images for the bake process. This represetns a pretty good overview of transferring ocean attributes by baking the displacement and normals to another plane in Blender.
