Everywhere you look these days it seems like there is some sort of new fluid dynamics application being developed, after all, there have been a lot of new entries lately from The Chaos Group’s Phoenix FD to Naiad, right down to Blender’s semi-recent fluid capabilities. The grandfather of them all and certainly one of the first packages created specifically for creating fluid simulations was NextLimit’s RealFlow.

NextLimit recently posted a few introductory tutorials showing the various components of RealFlow providing an introduction to using RealWave in RealFlow, using RealFlows Rigid Body Dynamics System, An introduction to Particle Fluids, and also an overview of RealFlows Hybrido System, RealFlow’s unique hybrid grid/particle-based fluid solver for mid- to large-scale simulations.
