Patrick Eischen has posted a Cinema 4D tutorial for creating a realistic iPhone from scratch and guides through the process of modeling all of the little bits on a seemingly simple shape including buttons, button holes and beveled edges, providing as much explanation as possible as he moves along with the project.

In this 2 hour tutorial I will model an iPhone 4s in Cinema 4D from scratch and I will guide you through all the steps

Patrick notes that this modeling tutorial is intended for beginners in Cinema 4D, starting from square-one concepts such as moving around and navigating the Cinema 4D viewport windows, setting up reference images, and the like. Partrick also notes that he is using Cinema 4D R14, but everything that is shown in the modeling tutorial can be recreated in previous versions of Cinema.

During the course of the tutorial Patrick covers a lot of tools from splines and Extrude NURBS, Booleans, Bevels tools, right down to the soft selection tools, and using the phong tag. Check out the tutorial for Modeling a Realistic iPhone in Cinema 4D here.
