New Genome Plugin for Cinema 4D Can Control Every Property on Each Individual Clone

By September 14, 2012No Comments

A simple Cloner object in Cinema 4D actually is creating instances of a source object in the scene, and at times you may find the need to be able to manipulate Cloned object properties on an individual basis easily. This can now be done with Luke Letellier’s new Genome plugin for Cinema 4D which will allow you to dynamically manipulate every single attribute for each individual cloned object in your scene.

Genome is a modified cloner object that allows users to dynamically manipulate every single property of each individual cloned object

Genome is actually a Modified Cloner Object which creates actual duplicates in the C4D object browser, and by using Xpresso, you are able to manipulate Cones on an individual basis, or as a group, or in groups, freely modifying attributes.

Without the Genome plugin, you may have been used to hitting C on the keyboard to convert parametric cloner objects to nonprocedural clones. Genome will eliminate this and provide the best of both workflows giving you the procedural features of the Cinema 4D MoGraph Module, and the flexibility of Xpresso.

Genome is available on the new AEScripts for $19.99, and features:

  • Real clones, not instances.
  • Control every aspect of your clones, not just the PSR Values.
  • Compatible with Mograph Effectors.
  • Create Xpresso setups with ease.
