Next Limit Technologies has posted a series of tutorials showing the use of Maxwell Render in Cinema 4D which shows ow to get started with Maxwell within Cinema including installing Maxwell, and a great overview of techniques and how Maxwell integrates into Cinema 4D.

The Maxwell for Cinema 4D plugin has been designed to make using Maxwell with C4D as seamless and efficient a process as possible. To this end, the new plugin adds fully-integrated Maxwell Materials, along with a native-to-C4D Material Editor which is built to work in a way which is very similar to Maxwell’s own MXED MXM editor

Maxwell Render is a centralized rendering solution and has plugin compatibility and integration with a lot of 3D software packages, and although Maxwell Render for Cinema isn’t new, this is an interesting watch to see how different Maxwell works from most physical rendering packages and how it compares to others such as V-ray.

Maxwell for the most part, is an Unbiased rendering engine, and was one of the first commercially available unbiased rendering products all the way back to 2004, with an amazing light transport giving subtle and almost hyperrealistic light attenuation, which initially was based on Metropolis light transport. If you have never seen a Maxwell rendering up until now, go check some out to see what I am talking about.
