Animating Ivy Waving in the Wind in Cinema 4D

By October 20, 2012March 31st, 20152 Comments

There are a couple of options for creating and animating Ivy in 3D, most notably there is Thomas Luft’s quite popular stand alone application Ivy Generator from way back 2008, and to complement the Ivy Generator, there is the FreeWare IvyGrower plugin for Cinema 4D, that was created by Kuroyume.

A quick tutorial going over set up of the Ivy Grower plugin for Cinema 4D, then we show you how to take the ivy one step further by animating the leaves blowing in the wind with effectors

Here, Digital Sandwich’s Glen Faught walks through a quick tutorial showing how to create Ivy in Cinema 4D using the IvyGrower plugin, and then demonstrates how you are able to animate the Ivy by creating a gentle leaf blowing effect using Cinema 4D Effectors. Check out the tutorial for Animating Ivy in Cinema 4D here.
