Eric Liss adds another tutorial for Cinema 4D using Xpresso, with this look at how to use Cinema 4D’s Time Node in Xpresso to drive animation without using keyframes. This will allow you to create and use a slider to control animation speed easily.

In this quick tip we will look at how to use Cinema 4d’s Xpresso ‘Time Node’ to drive animation without the use of keyframes

In Eric’s example, he uses a simple turntable animation that will be affected by the Xpresso nodes, adding a slider that can change the speed of the animation on the fly.

Eric notes that this technique can be used with most object input values easily. Check out the tutorial for Using Cinema 4D Xpresso’s Time Node to Drive Animation here.
