By February 22, 2013No Comments

PixelWolf takes another look at creating cloth elements for Cinema 4D, however this time he looks at using Marvelous Designer 2 to create realistic and natural looking curtains that will be brought in and used in Cinema 4D. In a similar but different premise, previously PixelWolf had a great tutorial showing How to Create a Convincing Cloth Simulation in Cinema 4D Using SoftBodies and Dynamics.

Just a quick tutorial about making a curtain with MD2 and export it to Cinema 4d

Marvelous Designer 2 is software specifically designed to create and simulate clothing and cloth like elements in 3D, providing the tools for creating patterns and developing them into 3D fabric and clothes.

Marvelous Designer is actually is a pretty fantastic little application working in Mac OS, Linux and Windows, and carries a small price of $199.00 for a single personal license, making it difficult not to buy if you are creating clothing for 3D characters. If you haven’t taken a look at Marvelous Designer 2, they provide a demo download to try out here.
