Sky-Writing Using PyroCluster and thinking Particles in Cinema 4D

By July 17, 2013No Comments

EJ Hassenfratz walks through creating a sky-writing effect in Cinema 4D where you can create writing with clouds by using standard tools in C4D, using the Thinking Particles and PyroCluster to not only animate the letters being drawn on, but also drifting and growing much like smoke trails would.

First, I’ll show you how to set up your clouds and clone them onto your spline object

EJ shows how to set up the scene demonstrating how to clone the clouds onto spline objects, and then uses MoGraph Effectors that will affect the thinking particles, that will apply random scaling and position to the group. Finally in creating the writing effect, EJ shows how to scale up the PyroCluster clouds along a spline.
