Providing an overview of projection and baking workflows in the Foundry’s MARI, Mike Jagodzinski walks through MARI’s projection panel, and demonstrates some masking abilities citing the differences if you may be used to Photoshop or other applications.

Mike Jagodzinski takes you through MARI’s projection palette and masking abilities as well as the several baking modes in MARI

Mike notes that MARI works a bit differently than an application like photoshop, in that you are panting in a buffered projection rather than on the object, and it isn’t until you back or place the paint on the object that they are technically associated. This also shows some simple masking techniques that can be used to apply the projection to your model in MARI.
