By September 3, 2013No Comments

CG Generalist and TD Alexander Kratinov shares a Python plugin for Cinema 4D that will generate lighting and electrical bolts between nulls with some simple controlled parameters.

Using a Mograph Tracer Object to define the connection between two Null Objects, the Lightning Generator provides user data controls over the spline, seed, iterations in the bolts, with offset, control over the thickness, and an attribute that can govern the branching of the effect.

The Lightning Generator is a freely available download, which you can get from Alexander Kratinov’s original Lighting Generator for Cinema 4D post here, or from here, as a direct download [download Python Lighting Generator for Cinema 4D].
