Adding Extra Deformation to an Existing Rig in Maya

Hello everyone ,

Today I would like to show you one of my latest tutorials, It is about adding extra deformation to existings rigs.

adding extra deformation:

  • Analyze the rig
  • Find a good place were pipe in the extra deformation
  • Rig the extra deformations
  • Connect everything
  • Clean up

This tutorial is intended for animators which have at least a basic know how and skills in maya, like creating groups, parenting etc. In this tutorial I am going in detail about the fundamental steps needed to get the job done. Once you have mastered those steps you will be able to grab many (if not all ) the rigs around the house and  add the extra control you need to pull out the perfect acting or performance you have in mind.
