Isotropix have announced that they will be attending Siggraph 2014 with the next major release for Clarisse iFX 2.0. Clarisse is Isotropix’s next generation 2d/3d rendering tool which is the fusion of an animation package, a compositing software and a 3d rendering engine all rolled into one. Clarisse iFX is designed to render progressively and very quickly making use of the computers CPU for rendering.
Clarisse iFX 2.0 will house some major rendering advancements including a new AOV engine allowing you to render passes with Clarisse, Open VDB, volumetric rendering, and support for deep images and double sided vector displacements.
Isotropix Clarisse iFX 2.0 will also sport a new set of texture nodes specifically for look dev artists, complete OpenColorIO integration and a new file referencing feature.

Clarisse iFX 2.0 at Siggraph 2014
Montpellier – July 31, 2014 – Isotropix, a privately held software company developing high-end innovative graphics software solutions, announced today Clarisse iFX 2.0 the next iteration of its nextgen 2D/3D rendering tool which will be unveiled at Siggraph 2014. Clarisse iFX 2.0 introduces big improvements to the rendering engine, powerful file referencing and many work flow enhancements.

Clarisse iFX 2.0 is scheduled to be released early in Q4 2014 and will be available through Isotropix website and its authorized resellers. Customers with an active maintenance will be able to download Clarisse iFX 2.0 when released and already can download the latest update of Clarisse iFX (codenamed Hyperion) which includes many of the new features listed for 2.0. Isotropix at Siggraph 2014
Isotropix is pleased to announce its presence at Siggraph 2014 and invites attendees and press members to drop by its booth #701. The team will provide demonstrations of the upcoming Clarisse iFX 2.0 throughout the exhibition. Isotropix is also very excited to announce presentations by two exceptional guests discussing about the role of Clarisse in production from the perspective of the world leading VFX studio Double Negative.
Graham Jack, Chief Technical Officer for Dneg worldwide, joined Double Negative in 2002 and worked as Artist, CG, 3D and VFX Supervisor on shows such as Batman Begins, Harry Potter. Hellboy 2 and Total Recall before moving onto a site role managing Dneg’s 3D department. He was instrumental in setting up the lighting and rendering pipeline at Dneg and influencing the development of technology in all areas of the company’s pipeline. After overseeing all Dneg’s 3D work as co-head of 3D he was subsequently appointed Head of Technology Strategy and then CTO. As CTO, Graham works closely with Tech Managers and RnD day-to-day to ensure the smooth running of our pipelines, the swift resolution of any issues and the ongoing development and planning of our technical strategy going forward. He will present how Clarisse is now implemented in the pipeline of such a big studio and will discuss about the usual challenges they faced and solved using Clarisse.
Zoe Cranley, CG Sequence Supervisor at Double Negative, joined Dneg in 2005 as Render Wrangler, subsequently progressing on through roles as Matchmove Artist, Generalist TD, Lighting TD, Lighting
Lead and on to CG Sequence Supervisor. She has spent time working in both London and Singapore as CG Sequence Supervisor, and supervised on the likes of Total Recall, Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Muppets Most Wanted. Zoe has most recently completed work as Sequence Supervisor on Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla. She will talk about Clarisse integration from the look dev and lighting perspective. She will present how Double Negative’s artists work and overview their daily workflow.
For people unable to attend Siggraph event in Vancouver, Isotropix will also make guest presentations that will be available online on Isotropix homepage and Youtube channel.
