Adrien Lambert developed a production tool while working on a unmentioned Bad Robot project. Adrien needed to be able to affect multiple lights in a V-Ray rendered scene quickly and easily, so he created a python script that would facilitate that.
If you’re working on scenes with a lot of lights, this script might help you to control them quickly
Adding further refinements and a slick user interface to the tool, the V-Ray MultiLightControl Script for Maya was born. The script will allow you to automate any modifications on multiple lights easily, and from one place. MultiLightControl will also let you convert the light shape of many lights on the fly.
You are even able to create overrides on selected lights as well as set lights to the V-Ray Light Select render elements for render passes.
