Automatic Versioning in After Effects Using Expressions

It doesn’t come by often, but there will be times when you are required to create an animation, and then output multiple versions of that comp with slight changes.

If you’ve ever had to create multiple versions of the same animation then you will know how boring and repetitive it can be.

Moving through a list of names for a lower third for example, can lead to some wash, rinse, and repeat mind numbing workflow.

When Chris Zwar was dealing with such a task, he chose to automate it using After Effects expressions. Check out how Chris Automates versioning in Ae.

We have seen this type of automation before. Zack Lovatt, also had a look at creating automated versioning in After Effects, with the post Create Easy Versioning in After Effects By Editing Names in Project Panel With this Expression.
