Rohan Dalvi has a new series where he shows how you can recreate some of the best features of Cinema 4D in Side Effects Houdini.

a look at how attributes can be used to affect the clones and then use that knowledge to create Effectors and Falloffs.

Previously, Rohan showed how you can build something similar to C4D’s MoGraph Cloner in Houdini.

Of course the cloner object is just part of the motion graphics equation. The other part includes effectors, such as the plain and falloff effectors of cinema 4D.

You might think it looks quite complicated, if you have never seen a procedural node-based application in use. In the end however, the payoff is that you have some viable mograph systems right in Houdini, which can handle a ton more data than C4D at the moment.
