Autodesk’s Daryl Obert has look at building up animation piece by piece with Maya’s motion graphics toolset. Daryl has been documenting his Journey into VR as he builds his first VR experience using Maya. Along the way there are some nice demonstrations using Maya’s tools along the way.
Here, Daryl shows how you can build up animation using Maya’s motion graphics toolset. The example uses the premise of graffiti coming off the wall and animating in space. The animation is done procedurally with MASH, using Signal, Offset, Delay and merge nodes. Maya added a procedural animation workflow with MASH, an extension that was created by Mainframe UK.
