Use Camera Projections to Easily Apply Labels With Arnold in C4D

Camera Projections Can Be a Fast Way to Apply a Label to Certain Objects in Cinema 4D

Looking for a fast way to apply labels to models in Cinema 4D when you are using Arnold? So was Shane Benson. Reaching out to Arnold Renderer users Benson was looking for a way to apply multiple labels on a single object. One of the easiest ways became to simply use camera projections.

Walking through his discoveries, Benson shows how you can use C4D’s camera projections as a really quick method that can apply any type of label that you like, to the surface of an object when using Arnold. The technique does have some obvious limitations. For example, any dramatically curved surface will show some distortions in the camera projection. Still, with the right objects, projections can be a great solution for labeling.
