How to Export SynthEyes 3D Meshes to After Effects

Russ Andersson Shows How the Latest Version of SynthEyes can Export 3D Meshes to After Effects

Russ Andersson shows off the new Ae export functions in SynthEyes, letting you automatically bring in 3D objects into After Effects. Ae doesn’t natively handle 3D objects itself, but rather through a CINEWARE plugin that works with a bundled C4D lite.

A recent release for Andersson Technologies SynthEyes added some new export routines along with a number of other improvements and features. SynthEyes 1708 included support and Cinema 4D integration into the After Effects export routine that was found in previous versions of the 3-D tracking app.

Now SynthEyes can export 3D meshes to After Effects, automatically setting up a CINEWARE connection to Cinema 4D. C4D will handle all the 3D animation and rendering. This is a huge workflow improvement for matching up 3d elements for compositing in After Effects using SynthEyes produced tracking data. Should be a big time-saver for some!
