Video 4 Shows How to Create Curl Noise Particle Trails in C4D Using Xpresso.

Cinema 4D hs a great companion in Insidium’s X-Particles. The plugin is an intuitive and powerful tool for creating particle effects that include fluids too. That doesn’t mean that you can’t build complex particle effects with just Cinema 4D native tools, one of them is an accessible curl noise effect.

A new tutorial from Video4.nl shows how to create particle trails with a curl-noise effector in Cinema 4D without using X-Particles at all. The technique does involve the use of some Xpresso though and using the free Creative Tools’ Curl Noise Python Effector for creating that classic motion in Cinema 4D. The effector comes with two files, one for Mograph and one for XPresso (to be used with Thinking Particles).
