When working with multiple sources of Houdini assets, they might come in at different scales; some will come in bigger, while others will come in smaller. Rather than scaling all the elements in context, there is a way to size and normalize all your Houdini assets to the right proportions easily.
David Kahl shows his technique for making sure that everything has the correct proportions. “As always I look at the VEX side of things,” Kahl notes. “If you want to use the assets in different setups you would need to rescale them”. However, if you normalize the geometry first, it becomes a lot easier and much more convenient.
