How to Create Realistic Bubbles With Arnold’s Thin Film

MographPlus Experiments With Creating Bubbles Using Thin Film in the Arnold Standard Surface.

With Arnold Render, there isn’t a dedicated thin film shader. Instead, there is a Thin Film setting in the Arnold Standard Surface. Thin Film can recreate the appearance of then film interference on a surface. The effect is in a variety of surfaces from multitone car paint, the heat effects of welded surfaces, the reflective coating on some bugs, and the rainbow-look on bubbles. MographPlus has a look at working with the Thin Film setting for creating all kinds of bubbles.
