Insydium Preps R20 Plugin Bridge for 3rd Party Devs

C4D R20 Requires Plugin Updates, but if you are a Developer, Insydium’s R20 Plugin Bridge Might be a Fix.

Cinema 4D R20 added among other things some changes to the Cinema 4D Core. It is these changes that require all third-party developers to adapt and alter their plugins to work with R20. Insydium, makers of Cycles 4D, and X-Particles has developed a novel solution for other 3rd party devs to make their plugs compatible, and are asking for other 3rd party devs to help them to extend the bridge to their plugins. “If enough plugin developers help us to extend the bridge to their plugins, we will then release a general version for FREE to the Cinema 4D community.” Insydium asks for “Third Party Developers, please contact us.”

During the task of adapting their plugins, Insydium created a plugin bridge for Cinema 4D R20 that can load plugins from R14 to R19 and enable them to work with the new R20 core. “This Bridge may also work with other 3rd Party plugins,” Insidium notes. “This part is dependent on many factors; we would ask any developers of these plugins that wish to have our Bridge support them to contact us directly (c4dbridge[at]insydium.com), so we can then work together to make the Bridge as complete as possible.”

“If enough plugin developers help us to extend the bridge to their plugins, we will then release a general version for FREE to the Cinema 4D community.”
