Jens Kafitz Shows Off Working With Text in Mari Through a New Type Tool that Comes With Mari Extension Pack 4R1 and 4R2.

Extension Pack collects scripts and tools for Mari artists with workflow-enhancing and missing toolsets that may be missing in Mari. For example, if you want to work with text in Mari, the pack offers a new type tool that is new to the pack’s 4R1 and 4R2.

Jens Kafitz demonstrates the new type tool in Mari that finally brings text support to the popular 3D painting application. The tool offers two paint generation modes, letting you paint through an image, or to the paint buffer. The tool packs most of the features that you would expect from a text tool, with some limitations that get shown in the video.
