File Batch Importer Lets You Select and Import Lots of Files Into Maya at Once.
Referencing is a powerful way to manage assets in scenes when working with Maya. While still in a “building” phase, you might find yourself needing to use import much more than using reference. If that is the case, why import one file at a time? File Batch Importer script for Maya lets you do that.
Simply run the script, then select the objects that you want to import, and click “import files”. You can import mayaBinary (.mb), mayaAscii (.ma), obj files(.obj), fbx files(.fbx) and Alembic caches(.abc) all at the same time. Furthermore, you can filter your folder by file types.
