How to Connect Hidden Parameters in C4D’s Node Editor

Jonas Pilz shows how to easily expose parameters that may be hiding in C4D’s Node Editor.

Nodes offer an excellent workflow for connecting and driving attributes. However, it’s impossible to display every attribute in a single node, so only the most common and frequently used parameters will initially show. That doesn’t mean that you won’t have quick access to them though. Maxon’s Jonas Pilz shows how to access hidden ports in C4D’s Node Editor.

In the example, Jonas shows how you can drive an attribute of a basic gradient node, even though that attribute may not be visible right away. There are a couple of ways to do this, but the quickset looks to be to bring the connector to an empty port and then let go.
