Python is a great way to quickly create tools for many DCC’s including Cinema 4D. For example, Mikhail Yudin has a python tag that pins nulls in place of selected vertices, and automatically attaches them.

FastPinNulls is free to download and works with polygonal objects in C4D. You may remember Yudin as the creator of Flash Buffer for Cinema 4D that lets you easily create object buffer passes for your scene.
