How to Use MASH Color Nodes with Redshift

Small Robot Studio shows how to use the MASH color nodes with the Redshift renderer in Maya.

There are plenty of tutorials out there that show how to pipe the MASH color with the Arnold Renderer in Maya. There are not so many that take a look at using color along with different renderers like Redshift. If you are working with Redshift and MASH together, have a look at Small Robot Studio’s Michael Rew and his latest tutorial that shows how.

The short tutorial covers how to get the effects of the MASH nodes using Redshift’s User Data Color node with the attribute reading colorSet. It’s pretty simple, but some might miss how this is done. Rew does a lot of Redshift and Maya tutorials, so you might want to check out his channel here.
