How to Get Started Using Krita 4

By April 20, 2019No Comments

Discover how to get started with Krita 4, the free and open source 2D painting and animation application.

Krita is a free and open source painting program. Its strengths are that it is a tool that is made for artists by artists. It offers a wide range of tools for concept art, texture, and matte painters as well as illustrators and recently animators too. The latest version of Krita offered a complete rewrite of a lot of features, and that also includes some UI and UX stuff too. With a look at how to get started is Youtuber Mitch. Moho tutorials are what we find Mitch posting, but this time we have a series of tutorials showing off some of the features and new additions in Krita 4.

Mitch covers the basics for working with the UI, and some of the tools. With a complete rewrite of the vector layer file format, the addition of Python scripting, a new text tool and much more, Krita 4.0 is one of the most significant releases for the painting tool.
