An Updated Rigger for Maya Looks Impressive

Qiq Tools Rigger auto-rigging tool for Maya adds some nice new features.

Rigger is a 3D character setup plugin for Autodesk Maya. Perhaps you’ve seen some of the flashy demo vids out there that show how easy and complete the toolset is. Qiq Tools recently updated Rigger in its strive to be the most essential and complete tools for 3D character setup in Maya. From the new example video, it looks like Rigger.ws is well on its way to that goal.

The interface is elegant, the UX is refined and the new features in Rigger 2.3 look really impressive. The new setup includes what the company calls new animator friendly technology. That is to say that the typical character rig controls are gone in its place is a simple selectable joint system that is super-easy to use. New features for Rigger include:
