Peter Quinn launches a new hand-painted After Effects library, PQ Art Parts.

Likely if you work with Adobe After Effects you have heard of Peter Quinn who makes some super-useful assets for the motion graphics folks. Now, Quinn has a new offering, called PQ Art Parts — A Library of REAL, hand-made wipes and transition, frames, and other elements. That includes edges, individual brush strokes, bubbles, and some lower thirds. Each Part was lovingly painted, inked or sketched in multiples, shot in VERY high resolution, cleaned, then sequenced at either 12FPS or 24FPS.

Art Parts is designed primarily for Luma Mattes in After Effects. You add an Art-Part layer above the layer you want to affect and then set that layer to use as a luma matte. It’s a great way to get a hand-painted vibe to your work instantly. PQ Art-Parts is available for $49.00, which gets you over 80 different “parts” to commence art-ing.
