Working With Drag and Drop Materials in Blender

Christoph Werner shows how you can drag and drop materials in Blender without using the pull-down menu.

You may be adding materials to objects in Blender by using the pull-down menu system. For a better and possibly more faster experience, you can drop materials on to objects too. You can do this through the Outliner window, as shown by Christoph Werner in his latest blender tutorial.

Werner shows that you can split the outliner window in Blender to have two panes. Switching one of those panes to show blender files will display everything associated with the open file. That includes a materials folder. Now you can drag and drop materials from the outliner right on to the objects in the scene. Werner shows how you can filter the outliner list so that only materials will show through. Nice Tip!
