If you’ve ever made a path on a layer in After Effects, it doesn’t take long to realize that the transform doesn’t work like shape layer groups. In those cases, when you want to transform a mask to keyframe the animation, you might find it a little tricky. Newer versions of After Effects will let you apply controls to each anchor point in the mask to help with animation, but that doesn’t deal with the entire transformation of the path.
