Mikey Borup Dives Into the Expression Language Used to Control Path Points in the Latest Version of After Effects
Mikey Borup walks through the expressions that can be used in After Effects to access path points data used in masks and shape layers.
A new version of After Effects has hit the cloud, and with it comes some long awaited features that the community should be excited about. One such feature, the ability to use expression access to mask and shape points, is pretty significant.
You can now link mask and shape points to other elements with expressions, without having to bake or animate frame by frame. Path point expressions will let you work with one or more points and control handles, and also let you apply the new data-driven features also included with the latest release.
