How to Use MOI 3D to Build a Mechanical Rod

Contrafibbularities works with MOI 3D essential tools to create a mechanical rod model for Cinema 4D.

Over the last little while, Contrafibbularities (Wolfgang Rode) is showing us how we can expand our modeling workflows by adding a specialized modeler application. In this case, its Moment of Inspiration 3D. MOI 3D is a NURBS and surface modeler that is simple to use and carries a lot of flexibility in modeling.

Rodes’s latest tutorial shows how you can build a mechanical rod while showing off a lot of the essential tools for modeling within MOI. The tutorial also covers some tips for fixing issues, and how to rebuild parts of the surface to better fit the model.
