Here is a FLIP splash tutorial with a bit of a twist. The CGI Nerd Alejandro Perez shows us how to create a splash with a suction effect that eventually forms a shape, in this case, type in the scene. 

“In this video tutorial, I will show you how to create a flip fluid splash simulation in Houdini,” Perez says about the tutorial. Perez uses suction to shape the fluids into a form. “then, using a suction fluid effect to shape the fluids into any shape that you would like.”
