Reuben Lara’s Match Position for After Effects instantly matches stuff to other stuff.
One of the drawbacks of Adobe After Effects is that there is no type of unification between 2D and 3D layers. This is really evident when you try to link 2D and 3D elements in some way. You’ll often find you need to convert 2D for 3D space and back again, with a heap of expressions. A new simple tool from Reuben Lara looks to take care of all that, with Match Position for After Effects.
The script offers a small panel in Ae that allows you to instantly match and link position and orientation between layers. It will automatically convert 3D coordinates to 2D screen-space. Match Position also has a convenient way to distribute both 2D and 3D layers. Check out Match Position for After Effects here to learn more.
