With grids so predominant in motion graphics, you’d think a feature that makes grid layouts is a necessity for some popular apps. Well, it’s not with most, but with Cavalry, it’s the Layout Shape feature.

The Scene Group’s Ian Waters shows how you can use Layout Shape to arrange many layers horizontally, vertically, and into grids. The Grid Layout in Cavalry has some advanced features to precisely control the size and placement of layers. So good.

Cavalry 1.1 just released with 30 new features, 80 enhancements, and 350 bug fixes. That’s a lot, but the unique features are amazing workflow ones and quality of life improvements.
