Getting Started With Cavalry’s Forge Dynamics

Ian Waters shows off how to get started with Cavalry’s 2D dynamics system.

Cavalry 1.2 introduced a host of new stuff, and one of those things is an embedded dynamics system they call Forge Dynamics. This new tutorial from Ian Waters shows how you can get started with Forge Dynamics.

Forge Dynamics is a native, fully-featured rigid body dynamics system. You can use it in Cavalry to create physics simulations. Artists can create shapes that can collide and react to each other.

Forge also includes several utility features such as Constraints, Collision Events, and Fields which allow you to influence and respond to the simulation in exciting and novel ways.
