How to Model and Render Leather and Stitching in C4D

Polygon Pen shows how you can model seams and stitching details in realistic-looking leather.

This new tutorial from Polygon Pen shows some modeling and rendering techniques to create realistic-looking leather complete with seams and stitching using Cinema 4D and Octane Render.

The tutorial covers modeling and looks at an easy way to build the seams, derive curves to clone the stitching and make the leather cushions look more natural.

This new tutorial isn’t the first time that Polygon Pen has had a look into stitching. A previous tutorial showed a similar technique using the edge to spline tool and help from the cloner object in Cinema 4D.
