This new walkthrough by Dominik Ruckli shows a setup that will allow you to animate the growth of splines in Cinema 4D using Scene Nodes and Fields. While useful in Cinema 4D, fields still need to be fully supported in Scene Nodes, but Ruckli has a workaround.

The tutorial shows how to use Field information within Scene Nodes and illustrates the concept, how to build the setup, and colorize the splines and render them.

In a previous tutorial, Ruckli showed how to colorize volumes in Cinema 4D, and that technique also used Fields.
