Antonio Souza (Bola Studio) created a Houdini Digital Asset (HDA) that helps to develop and animate things like ropes, threads, knitted woven patterns, and yarn in Side FX Houdini.
Threadify (in beta) is an HDA that quickly generates fibers and geometry for realism. Connect the node to any set of curves or lines, and it will create a thread geometry for each primitive using the available attributes. The tool can make realistic bends and curls of the fibers at the tips.
