How to Get C4D’s Hair Object Working With Volume Builder

By December 21, 2018No Comments

Maxon’s Glenn Frey Shows a Trick to Get C4D’s Hair Object to Work Within a Volume Builder Workflow for Some Neat Effects.

C4D’s volume builder represents a new way to work letting users build objects from volumes while working with common modeling operations mimicking booleans. Most elements will work alongside the volume builder, while other things have a bit of a trick to them. For example, you can use the hair object in conjunction with the volume builder to create some neat-looking effects.

Maxon’s Glenn Frey shows the changes that you need to make on the hair object so that the volume builder will recognize it. It’s merely a matter of changing the hair to from none (the default) to Spline. Dropping the hair object inside the volume builder will now get you the correct effect.
