How to Slice Objects in C4D With Soft Bodies

By February 26, 2020March 4th, 2020No Comments

Roger Kilimanjaro shows how you can slice objects in Cinema 4D using a visual trick and soft bodies.

The interoperability between features in Cinema 4D is sometimes staggering. This example where motion designer Roger Kilimanjaro shows how he created a looping animation that displays slicing objects. The technique uses a trick to show two separate objects to make it appear that it’s slicing them.

Kilimanjaro uses soft bodies to take care of the sliced objects’ falling and animation. Booleans and masks take care of hiding and showing the difference between solid and sliced objects in the scene. Neat!
