Michael Haas takes a look at how to get started and using the Polydebris Script for Maya which will split and explode polygon faces in Maya.

The PolyDebris Maya script is from bbandong and its sole purpose is to take the selected polygons and split them with a simulation that will create objects exploding, blown apart or falling effects really easily.

Michael notes that PolyDebris is a great little tool with tons of possibilities, and walks through using the PolyDebris Tool, which is actually a great thing as although there is an english version, most text in the tool still shows as Korean.
