Popular 3ds FumeFX Fluids Simulator Makes Its Way to Maya

The highly anticipated and popularized 3ds Max Plugin Fume FX finds a new host in Autodesk Maya recently released by Sitni Sati after a few sneak peaks and progress updates for more than a year.

FumeFX is a gaseous fluid dynamics simulator, designed for realistic and breathtaking fire, smoke and explosion effects. FumeFX has been around for nearly six years for 3D Studio Max, updating to version 3.5 a while back, adding the ability to control almost every per-voxel parameter with an Effector

The FumeFX release for Maya is only for Windows and Linux platforms, priced at $845, with a side-grade offer for Max users at $395.
