How to Easily Align Faces in Cinema 4D

Athanasios Pozantzis Shows How to Align Faces to Other Faces in C4D Using Snapping and Extended Axis Handles.

No matter where you choose to create your models, eventually you will need a host of tools to accurately align faces. Some applications make this more accessible than others, but there is a way to align faces to reference in the scene with accuracy. This new tutorial from Athanasios Pozantzis explains the process, and it uses the C4D features snapping, and extended axis handles.

The technique might not seem that intuitive at first, and the workflow is a bit of kludge, but Pozantzis shows that you can streamline the process by remembering and using key commands and placing some of the attributes in the interface to keep them on hand. Once you get the hang of it, you will be saving a lot of time and relying less on the “eyeballing” method.
