Corona Renderer 4 for C4D Released with New Caustics Feature

Corona Renderer 3 for C4D gets amazing new caustics and a lot more.

Lots of people love Corona Render. It looks great, it works great, and it has a lot of great features. If you want to see some of the best features of what makes Corona so great, have a look at Shawn Astrom’s video on the Top 10 Reasons Corona Renderer is impressive. The latest version of Corona Renderer 4 has a new Caustics engine that looks incredible. So much so, that the development team thinks it’s the best caustics in any render engine.

Chaos Czech (formerly Render Legion) brings a simple, yet powerful approach to caustics, building an essential element of realism into Corona Renderer 4 for 3ds Max. Now artists and designers can render lighting effects from surfaces like glass and water with even more accuracy, adding a new layer of photorealism to their stills and animations.

Corona Renderer 4 caustics system is easy to set up with just a click or two. There are no complicated settings or parameters that you would find in other rendering tools. On top of all that, it’s speedy too while handing both reflective caustics and refractive caustics. Refractive caustics can include dispersion. Finally, the new system will work as expected with other Corona lighting tools such as LightMix.

There are a ton of new features and improvements in Corona 4, so be sure to check out the complete listing here.
