The tutorial shows how you can use the Wisp effect from Creation Effects. “Wisp” is a tool for After Effects that lets you create 3D particle trails effortlessly. The best part is that the effect only uses the standard After Effects Plugin CC Particle World, which is compatible with 3D camera layers.

Wisp lets you reveal text or make custom lines with ink bleeds, using particles that follow a path. The “Wisp” template enables you to create trails of particles that move along any motion path. The particles can resemble fire, smoke, liquid, sparks, lightning, glitter, bubbles, sparkles, ink, and much more.
